Steampunk Wallpaper

Hey, all.

First of all, I upgraded to WordPress 2.6. Let me know if you have any issues with it.

Second: I’m adding 16:9 and 4:3 to the tags to make things easier to find.

Third, you may have noticed that all the wallpapers this week are 16:9. I had a bunch of requests for widescreen papers, so I dedicated this week to catch up. But according to my stat widget thingy, most people who are visiting this site are at 1280×1024.

A few of the 4:3 papers I’ve done were at 1280×960, which (at the time) I thought was more standard than the 1024. (I know the math is wrong. Just roll with it for now. ) Obviously I was incorrect

I’m going to TRY to make a variety of sizes for the wallpapers. As a designer, I’m not satisfied by just cropping a 16:9 image into a 4:3 one, (though, if you choose ‘center’ in your desktops display properties, some 16:9 papers will look OK on a 4:3 monitor), so it’ll take me a while to catch up. In the meantime, you 16:9 people can gloat that you have Robot Calling and Mary’s First Invention, and the 4:3s flip you off with Steamyfox and Map to a Factory Long Gone.

I’ll be putting up a poll at some point so that I can keep an eye on what aspect ratio you guys prefer, but you can drop me a comment now, if you’d like!
